This Troop is the first to register an all Girl Troop in Simon Kenton Council of Boy Scouts of America's new program of Scouts BSA. Scouts BSA provides both boy and girls the unique opportunity to gain knowledge in the great outdoors and acquire skills in Citizenship, leadership, and develop their character in their quest to complete the Eagle Rank. This year, girls from 11 years old or those that have completed 5th grade can earn their eagle rank. It will be a journey as they work in their patrols as a team to accomplish their tasks and complete their merit badges. In the BSA program they will learn and gain experience running the troop. They will choose what they will do and how it gets accomplished.
Our Troop meets every Wednesday night from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at Neal Avenue United Methodist Church, Newark, Ohio 43055. Come visit us and talk with us, let your daughter see what scouting has to offer her.
